1. Rinsing the rice:

  • Gently rinse the rice with water 2–3 times until the water runs clear.
  • Do not over-rinse, as it may wash away nutrients and the natural aroma of the rice.

2. Measuring the water:

The standard rice-to-water ratio is 1:1.
However, you can adjust the amount of water to suit your preference:

  • For softer, stickier rice: add 1/4 cup more water.

  • For drier, fluffier rice: reduce the water by 1/4 cup.

3. Cooking the rice:

  • Dry the outside of the rice cooker pot.
  • Close the lid and press the Cook button.
  • After about 30 minutes, the cooker will automatically switch to Keep Warm mode.
  • Let the rice rest on Keep Warm for another 5–10 minutes to enhance the flavor and texture.

 

4. Serving:

  • Fluff the rice gently and serve warm.

ST25 rice retains its soft, tender texture even after cooling — unlike many other varieties, it doesn’t harden and still tastes fresh hours later.

Their journey began with a question: “Can Vietnam grow the world’s best rice?” — a dream that took over 20 years of patient crossbreeding, trial and error, and unwavering belief in the potential of Vietnamese soil. That dream came true in 2019, when ST25 was officially named “The World’s Best Rice” at an international competition held in Manila, Philippines.

What makes ST25 extraordinary goes beyond its global accolades. The rice grains are long, slender, and pearly white. When cooked, it releases a gentle aroma reminiscent of pandan leaves and young rice. Each bite is soft, slightly chewy, and stays tender even after cooling — a rare trait that sets it apart from most other varieties.
